Spunlace uses high-pressure water jets to entangle fibers, producing a cloth-like texture and high wet strength without chemical binders. The main criticism against nonwoven fabric is that most single-use wipes are made from synthetic fibers that degrade slowly in landfills. Nonwoven fabric is not a single material. It is a family of engineered sheets that respond to how they are formed, bonded, and finished.
